Even if incentives are defended as encouraging the "correct behavior or outcomes" just how do you measure them? What does that say about the soul of the company? Sometimes I think sporadic rewards are the best. I remember several years ago when Kingston Memory had a booming year. So all the rank and file in the company got a 100% salary bonus that year.
