Yes, it is rocket science

Sometimes you just cannot afford to make mistakes.    Especially when your program is the one which places an object in the orbit of Mars.  A friend of mine is part of the team which wrote the program controlling Nasa's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.   Congratulations to all involved.
